Sand Island State Recreation Area

Located in Honolulu, Sand Island State Recreation Area offers an urban park where you can camp, stroll on a walking path, fish or bodyboard.

While shoreline camping is allowed (weekends only), some may be deterred by the noise from airplanes (the park is in the flight path of the Honolulu International Airport).
